Team profiles
Melissa Barker
Melissa acquired a BA Hons degree in Theatre, Performance and English graduating at the University of Plymouth in 2004. Since graduating Melissa has worked on several high profile accounts within the facilities management industry in London including HM Treasury, Heron Tower and Barclays. However, it was in 2013 when Melissa worked for Barclays that she gained her knowledge within Print Services. Implementing and managing PPI outbound letter processing on behalf of bank, Melissa also managed several teams within central reprographics, print management and creative services within 4 locations in the UK. Melissa joined Hyground Consulting as an Operations Manager in 2015 and currently works out of the London Office.
Simon Faulkner, National Print Manager
Simon studied communications at Goldsmiths College in London prior to entering the world of print. He worked his way up through the ranks to manage print rooms and then to oversee the overall operations of print services within the Mace Group.
Having spent over 10 years working on the frontline of the print industry Simon has vast experience of print machines, print submission software, print applications, logistics and customer services.
Karen Garb, APAC Operations
Karen joined Hyground Consulting in November 2009 as the companies Project Administrator. Her background is in Construction Project Management. She co-founded the retail and online shop, Plumbonline and a turnkey design and build company, All Done Design and Build Ltd. She was the Director of All Done Design and Build Ltd from 2003 to 2007.
She brings her project management skills to Hyground’s Managed Print Services along with her wealth of experience in quality control, which she gained whilst developing and implementing the ISO9001:2000 system for her construction company. Karen then went on to work for a Public Limited Property Development Company where she further developed her project management skills assisting in the company’s property development projects and property management.
Steven Ginsberg, Managing Director Steven founded Hyground Consulting in 2005. His background as a Chartered Accountant led to various executive roles in large corporations, culminating in a successful period with the Facilities Management market leader, Johnson Controls Inc. It was during this time that Steven began to develop his knowledge and expertise across all forms of Print. Since then, Steven has worked with Hyground Consulting and its client base to ensure the burgeoning Managed Print Service industry does not develop in the same way as the traditional Print industry i.e. little accountability or regulation. Steven’s focus is on the legal and financial aspects of client print environments. He is leading Hyground’s strategic global growth plans, heads the London office, and travels globally.
Peter Mack, Director
Peter obtained a legal degree in 1997 before entering into a management position at a major printing press manufacturer. Working in Austria, Azerbaijan, Russia and South Africa, he gained comprehensive experience in business management, corporate law and printing technology. He developed specialised contract law and project management skills through setting up country subsidiaries in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, designing and implementing dealer networks in Southern Africa and advising global corporate clients on major investments into printing machinery and structuring contracts involving technology procurement.
Peter has applied his knowledge and experience in many geographies and all facets of print and related technologies (print management, reprographics and office print) at Hyground Consulting since 2005, especially in the UK, Europe and the US. Peter’s independent and objective advice is based on service and quality, his loyalty always with his clients. His unique skills combine legal expertise with commercial and technical consultancy, project management and global operations. Peter is a registered attorney and heads Hyground’s Berlin office.
Wiebke Mack, UK Office Administrator
Wiebke Mack joined Hyground as an Apprentice in 2020.She manages the correspondence with clients and suppliers by answering emails or via telephone. She assists with project management, analyses and presents business data, reviews invoices and checks orders that have been placed. Supporting the team by implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. She also travels to client’s offices to obtain meter reads when needed.
