Our Services
Case Study
1
A prominent UK based company which offers engineering
services approached us to analyse their managed reprographics
operations provided by one of the large suppliers of
services and equipment. The project expanded to transform
their entire office and printroom fleet into modern
and in-sourced operations.
We detected that the reputable service
provider charged far above market prices and performed
significantly below expectations. Having conducted an
extensive audit of their printroom operations, invoicing
and a number of national offices we proposed the in-sourcing
of the services and the acquisition of new cheaper equipment.
The introduction of a nationwide accessible
central printroom which produces high quality work saved
substantial amounts on previously outsourced work while
the in-sourcing of the printroom created sustainable
savings of over 50%. Modern fleet copiers have completed
the transformation into an infrastructure which is geared
for growth and employs the most suitable equipment and
software.
The restructuring exercise has changed
many processes within the company: Procurement of paper
and offset print, mailroom, production of reprographics
material, and the utilisation of office fleet copiers
have been positively effected. This involved no job
losses but created an immense growth in productivity
and customer satisfaction.
Case Study 2
The project management of office moves
and the full-service exchange of technologies have become
a key motive to employ our services. A medium sized
company in the financial investment sector left it to
Hyground to arrange the move of print equipment to new
offices, the settlement of redundant machines and the
acquisition of new more suitable and technologically
advanced and much cheaper units for their new operations.
In close cooperation with the manager
in charge of the move and the IT department we selected
new equipment with the client who viewed samples and
quotes, obtained the settlement for redundant machines
and organised the re-siting of useful machines. The
installation of new machines and the re-sited units
was managed and the client was able immediately to operate
from their new premises. The entire move was achieved
in one weekend.
Case Study 3
Smaller companies are regularly neglected
by the big suppliers of copying hardware. We treat each
and every client as a key account. An firm of accountants
approached us and asked for our advice on a quote they
received on a new copier. The sales rep of a major equipment
supplier who dealt with the client for the past ten
years and who was only seen when the lease came up for
renewal, tried to sell a rather large colour copier
to the client.
The analysis of paper consumption and
copy volume resulted in a significant potential for
savings and restructuring. Not only did the accountants
have the wrong copying equipment - both current and
quoted - but their costs were far above the benchmarked
standard. This applied to a) the lease charges in terms
of capital and interest, b) the copy charges, c) the
paper expenses and d) laser printing.
We developed a comprehensive document
management strategy which involved the migration of
printing from laser printers to a new networked multifunctional
hybrid copier which allows controlled colour printing.
The client was able to get the best copier to suit his
requirements at lower copy and lease charges, removed
several laser printers and saved almost 30% on office
paper.
Case Study 4
A multi-billion pound provider of facilities
management services decided to establish printing and
reprographics as part of their service offering. We
were tasked create an intranet based tool which harnesses
the relevant market and company knowledge in this field
of business. We initiated a project which involved our
team and several individuals who previously worked independently
of each other within this large organisation.
Bringing them together created a massive
effect. Not only did it help to support the intranet
project but started a host of follow-on projects to
improve on the technologies used in the company, the
comparison and renegotiation of pricing with suppliers
and the eventual company strategy to offer more reprographics
services to external clients. The intranet tool managed
by our team member served as a centre to coordinate
all efforts for business improvements.
The new reprographics centre identifies
measures to improve printing and reprographics activities
at external clients, continously advises on internal
related questions and restructuring projects, runs team
seminars training existing and new colleagues and collates
market and industry information for the perusal of all
interested parties within the company. The client has
so established a unique new service offering which enhances
their oppoertunity to win new and retain existing customers.
